EMPOWERING WOMEN THROUGH REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE.
The Women's Empowerment Project provides a structured, paid five-day work experience opportunity at Bond Hair Religion. Participants have the option to work as salon assistants, salon hosts/receptionists, or assistant baristas.
This initiative supports women from family violence refuges and transitional housing by helping them build skills and confidence, while also creating a pathway to independence. It aims to assist them in rebuilding their lives for themselves and their children after experiencing a crisis.
For once in a lifetime, I felt OK being part of a team that was so connected and supportive of each other. I am astounded at how you, Jenni, pull it off. It is incredible on so many levels.

It helped me to come out of my comfort zone in a safe and supportive environment. Would highly recommend it to anyone who comes across this opportunity! Thanks again, it has been wonderful.

I appreciate everything Bond has done for me, making me feel welcome and like a part of the team. It was amazing, and the work atmosphere was great! It made me feel as if I was a new person [and increased] my confidence for a brighter future. I want to thank all the lovely team and Jenni for everything,

HOW IT WORKS.
Before starting their placement, participants will apply for one of the three available roles, participate in a friendly interview, and sign a short-term employment contract for the five-day paid experience. No prior experience or previous jobs are necessary to apply.
As with any workplace, it's important to ensure a good fit. Bond Hair Religion may decide not to proceed with applicants if the role or team environment isn't the right match. Likewise, if any serious issues arise during the placement, the experience may be concluded early.
